When I started doing this marathon ten years ago, I never would have thought that “Horror Movie in a workout center” would have been a thing… but here we are again.

Rhonda runs her gym with an iron fist. She does the hiring, she does firing, and she isn’t having any bull shit in her place of business. All the beautiful people come to her gym to work out and look their best while doing so. When one of her employees ends up dead, then another, and another, things quickly get hot for Rhonda. Word spreads that her place is bad news and she steps in to do something about it.

Killer Workout (also known as “Areobicide”), much like Death Spa, is a weird excuse to get really exceptionally attractive people together in one cast. Get those actors/actresses in the skimpiest clothing you can find and then make em all hot and they have to shower. Also, kill off the large majority of them in the most ridiculous fashion.

This movie is over the top stupid, in kind of the best ways. The acting is off the charts bad. So much unchecked emotions (probably due to mountains of cocaine). There are lots of “kinda looks like” actors in here too. Kinda looks like Christian Bale… kinda looks like Meredith Baxter-Berni, kinda looks like Kim Cattrall… you get the idea. The deaths though, they definitely are the spotlight here. Not because they are over the top gory, or even well thought out and presented. Mostly because they are just plain old dumb.

One of the first people that is involved in an accident at a gym is in a sun tanning bed that is big enough to sit a family of six. Then the main murder “weapon” used in the film is a comically over-sized safety pin. The murderer wields this weapon like your average everyday kitchen knife but somehow manages to easily pierce skull and bone with it. It’s hilarious.

Is this movie worth paying to see? No, for sure not. If you are a fan of dumb Halloween movies and can find this one easily and more importantly free, should you watch it? Yes, totally. With that said, below is the movie in full on YouTube.
