Forced Writing

So I have been trying my best to force myself back into the hobbies that I enjoy, or used to enjoy, rather.

Aside from playing games regularly on various electronic devices, collecting digital media for my PLEX server that my family and friends can enjoy, I also used to write/type... I guess "typing" is still technically "writing," right? I have three different "challenges" that have come across my social media that I want to attempt to do. The idea is that someone needs to write one article/review of whatever it is a day for thirty days. I won't try to fool myself into thinking that I will do that. I have attempted to keep a "daily" journal before and it didn't work well. Instead, I will move through the list and try to write something from either once a week.

The three different items are basically all about my gaming preferences, gaming music, and horror movies. They aren't necessarily all just "favorite" lists, which is why I intend to do them. Over the coming months or more, I intend to force myself to do some of these. I need to give myself a creative outlet. Or at the very least, an outlet for using my brain more than I do.

Should I get my juices flowing again, so to speak, I hope to get back to streaming on Twitch again as well. Partially for that creative thing I mentioned before, but also in the hopes that the internet will hold me more accountable for finishing games, or even starting some of them.

I have also started physically writing in a journal as well. Like, pen and paper. Something I have managed to do, which I wasn't sure I could, was change my handwriting. I got lazy over the years and was writing everything in all caps. Not like an internet "ALL CAPS" because I was "yelling" just sheer laziness in my handwriting. I have managed to force myself to at least change that. I slip up here and there, but for the most part I have course-corrected that.

On a more serious, and not intentionally cryptic note, there is also a more personal story to be told here, but I'm not really ready to talk about it just yet. For now, though, I hope to be posting more frequently on various topics. Cheers to the future and creative output.
